Network Warrington Hybrid Bus Launch

Today, we helped Network Warrington‘s at their hybrid bus launch. They launched 6 new diesel-electric Hybrid buses at an official ceremony at Warrington’s Town Hall where the Deputy Mayor Councillor Peter Carey officially cut the ribbon on one of the buses.

The British built buses feature Euro 5 Mercedes Engines and are noticeable by the roof pods which contain super-capacitors to store and re-use energy. Therefore these buses offer much better fuel economy over a conventional diesel with far fewer emissions, making them Network Warrington’s greenest buses yet!

Network Warrington’s Managing Director David Squire commented: “We are proud to be introducing these buses into the town as they will assist the Council’s climate agenda in terms of reduced emissions and less fuel use. They are also our first buses to feature an audio visual ‘next stop’ announcement system which is particularly useful for those customers who are visually or hearing impaired or unfamiliar with the area. The audio aspect of this system has been voiced by local personality Pete Pinnington who because of his radio and events background, many people across the town see as Mr Warrington or the voice of Warrington”.

The company’s ‘next stop announcement system’ will be rolling out across the fleet over the coming months.

We are currently working with Network Warrington to promote their new Hybrid buses via publicity photos and video footage.
